Flash for Visual Artists / Creating an interactive Portfolio with Photoshop and Flash

Host: Chris Orwig

Russell Brown says, "Flash is one of the most amazing design tools of all time, but it may seem hard to learn. If you've tried to learn Flash but found it as scary as being chased by a werewolf, this workshop will help you integrate Flash into your skill set. In this project-based workshop, instructor Chris Orwig (interactive designer, photographer, teacher, author) will teach you Flash from a visual arts perspective resulting in your creation of an online Flash portfolio website. Are you a visual artist? Then learn Flash or sharpen your existing skills with Chris' creative and easy-to-understand approach. Orwig will also provide useful source Flash files (of a completed Flash portfolio) and tutorial movies so you can continue to learn more after the conference. Don't miss this opportunity to be inspired and empowered to use Flash! It will change how you think and what you create."

Acrobat and Photoshop for the Creative Designer / Getting the most out of Acrobat 8 Professional and Photoshop CS3

Host: Terry White

Russell Brown says, "Adobe PDF has become the standard method for sharing files. However, Acrobat 8 Professional goes beyond just creating PDFs. You can create PDFs from just about all of your CS3 applications. So what does Acrobat 8 Professional offer the Creative Designer? This session will review the methods of using Acrobat for interactive reviews. We'll take a peek at Acrobat Connect for not only showing your PDFs to clients, but also showcasing your designs in other CS3 products. We'll examine Adobe Photoshop CS3 for some fresh creative techniques, and demonstrate how to incorporate video in both your Photoshop and PDFs."
