Julieanne Kost
Julieanne Kost combines
a passion for photography, the mastery of digital imaging techniques,
and a degree in psychology to produce work replete with "visual
emotion."
Textures, structures, and colors are all components in her visual experimentations.
She often unites these elements, as well as visual impressions of emotions,
reactions, and sensations, in a single work to convey a visual experience
of depth and meaning.
Julieanne has worked for Adobe Systems for the past 12 years and now
serves as the company's Digital Imaging Evangelist. She frequently
teaches courses in Adobe Photoshop at distinguished Fine Art and Photography
Workshops, prominent industry events, and conferences around the world.
She is the author of the Photoshop Fundamentals and Advanced Photoshop
Techniques training DVDs published by Software Cinema, and cofounder,
with her husband Daniel Brown, of www.adobeevangelists.com.
Colin Smith
As Senior Application Developer
for Adobe Canada, Colin Smith travels across North America helping
novices and pros alike in their pursuit of computer excellence using
Adobe solutions. Colin delivers dynamic seminars tuned to the aptitude
of his audience - from detailed sessions on digital video and photo-retouching,
to easy-to-understand sessions on how to use Adobe Acrobat.
Colin appeared as the digital photo expert in the Alliance Atlantis television production of Human Combustion, and appears regularly on the television shows Dotto Tech and Home Page on CityTV.
Prior to joining Adobe, Colin was a photo-retoucher and won awards for his work on FedEx and Red Dog Beer.
Michael Ninness
Michael Ninness has been a speaker and teacher of design and imaging tools for over 12 years. He is the conference chair for the Professional Photoshop Conference at Macworld and is a regular speaker at PhotoPlus Expo, Photoshop World, The Photoshop Conference, Web Design World and Pacific New Media at the University of Hawaii. He is the author of Photoshop 7 Power Shortcuts and is a contributor to Design Graphics and Photoshop User magazines. He studied for a BFA in Graphic Design at the University of Washington. Currently, he is a Senior User Interface Designer for Adobe Systems Incorporated and lives in Seattle with his wife and two daughters.
Matthew Richmond
Matthew Richmond is a Founding Partner and Creative Director at The Chopping
Block Inc., a full-service graphic design studio
founded in 1996 on the principle that good design spans all mediums. His
work has won notable recognition from Communication Arts, ID Magazine, HOW
Magazine and Flash Forward. In 2003, Matthew and the Block were featured in
the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum's Triennial Exhibition. Recent
projects include work for MoMA, Snapple, XM Radio, They Might be Giants,
Phish, Adobe, and Sony Pictures Classics.
For the past ten years, Matthew has presented and instructed on all aspects
of digital and analog design, photography and illustration. When not in the
studio, Matthew can be found teaching digital illustration and advanced
techniques to the graduate students at the School of Visual Arts.
Adam Pratt
Adam's been an Application Engineer at Adobe Systems for five years where he teaches and supports all of the Creative Suite products. He's an Adobe Certified Expert in every application in the Creative Suite, and the first certified Creative Suite Master in the world. In addition to co-authoring five books about Adobe software, he's contributed to a variety of publications including Step-By-Step Digital Design and O'Reilly Online. You may have seen him present at major events such as Macworld and Seybold or as part of Adobe's national seminar series.
When he's not flying around the country for Adobe he's probably running
marathons with his wife Cindy or playing with their two kids in Chicago.
